…what? The Dungeon tileset in MZ has interior body tiles though?
Oh. Does it? Well I stand corrected. I still feel that at least MV was a direct translation for VX/A.
Used Opencode/ChatGPT to write a Python script to scrape the old forums and save each and every plugin to an archive folder. So at least it wont be totally lost and I’ll have a copy to save for wherever we need to upload it next.
Might try to do the same with art assets, but it’s messier.

Wonder what should be done with these dumps. Definitely choose one place and dump it all there, hopefully with some format for easy access to everyone.
It will need to build good faith for rapport with the law, like, if you put ads some lawyer might want to bully you for your lunch money.
Maybe a Patreon for funding, donations, etc. anything proven to work well with archiving.
Silly you for assuming that other maker would be worth it. Soon we’ll have completely vibe coded RM!
Yes, that’s right. We should give them the opportunity to do what they have to do; I’m sure those are difficult choices.
I wouldn’t touch that with a 10ft pole.
I am a regular user of the Chinese-language site Project1 https://rpg.blue/, and I occasionally browse RMweb
. In comparison, Project1 has a visually appealing layout, with clearly organized sections divided by game engine, a dedicated area for game releases, and many high-quality original games that are exclusively published on this site. If you are comfortable using web translators, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as well. Around 2017, Project1 underwent a relocation similar to RMweb’s, moving from a site called 66RPG to its current domain, while preserving the vast majority of its original post data.
Oh yeah I remember seeing 66RPG every once in a while, looking for scripts and whatnot there was a good chance I’d end up running into it haha. I think I might have heard long ago that 66RPG had closed down, didn’t know that Project1 was born as its successor.
Thanks for the info! Also best wishes for the community! I might try taking a look every once in a while if I can.
This response sounds like a joke for me. “You understand” but you still didn’t even want to keep the old forum (like the closed archive)? No, you don’t understand. I was just making an account to say how mad I am for your decision…
There’s a browser extension that changes the design/colors, but I imagine it requires knowledge of CSS to make advanced changes. ![]()
Heheh good old classic ASCII logo there.
I think the current gray is okay, could be darker IMO. But the bright purple hurts my eyes, I feel it covers too much of the screen. I use dark mode for the muter background but that tone kinda ruins it haha.
I think the guild site is pretty good. It works very well on mobile, it just needs some design improvements.
First, improve the aesthetics by adding some art to make it feel more like an RPG Maker site instead of a cold, minimalistic, random site. Adding art on the sides, for example, would help.
Second, allow users to reply to a thread without having to scroll down forever to find the “Reply” button.
Overall, just add better navigation to make it easier to understand what is a quote, a thread, etc.
Haha

Not on mobile browser version
Just popping in to say, as Kuroda hasn’t mentioned it directly yet: the feedback about the site’s appearance is being read.
There’s no further comment at this time, but do keep the feedback flowing as it will address the steps we take in the future.
I’ve always known this would come sooner or later. Although be it much likes for me for forums site community, I think this new one we have here owe us some reformation for familiarity
“Save the post you want to keep” is VERY dismissive of people’s concerns. The answer is “all of them” because I don’t know which post specifically I want right now.
Very often I don’t know I needed something until I run into a problem in my project, and the forum thread that answered my question is from many years ago. Might even be 10+ years old. Especially because I don’t own the newer engines and I still use RPG Maker VXAce for my project.
Yeees, I liked that old Tkool team logo. The ASCII Soft “horse” one is iconic too.

The purple color bothers me too, I remove. But can’t change the background behind the topics/menus.
I rarely use the internet via mobile. :v
This type of theme/design has been trendy for a few years. I remember complaining when they implemented it on the forum I used to frequent. I believe a background of a different color/image will break this monochromatic aesthetic, as they did on old forum.
~
I’ve been racking my brain trying to add a background and still haven’t managed it in this extension. The flat icons are still there, but since that requires knowledge and time, I’m satisfied removing the light purple color. >.<
