The Death State doesn’t do anything special for that, it just sets the character’s EXP Rate Sp-Parameter to 0%, meaning that actors get 0% XP with this State on:
Just get rid of that Sp-Parameter (or modify the multiplier to 50, or 75, or whatever you want), and actors will be able to gain XP again:
