Hi! I made RM FindRefs, a small reference-finding tool for RPG Maker MV/MZ.
Before you delete, reuse, or change a switch, variable, item, skill, common event, or other database entry, RM FindRefs helps you see where it is being used.
This is not an RPG Maker plugin. It is a standalone HTML tool: extract the ZIP, open one HTML file in a modern desktop browser, and choose your project’s data/ folder.
What it does
- Search by database name or ID
- Find references across maps, events, common events, troop events, database records, and more
- Show locations such as Map / Event / Page / Command
- Separate results into:
- EXACT — RM FindRefs understands the RPG Maker field or command structurally
- POSSIBLE — a textual clue found in scripts, formulas, notes, plugin commands, or other opaque data
- Runs entirely in your browser
- No installation
- No upload
- No project modification
A small DemoProject is included so you can try it before scanning your own project.
