After updating, I opened the software and found that the character’s frame animations were all messed up. Specifically, the first frame was incorrect, and if the animation was made by stitching two sprite icons together, the frames at the junction were also incorrect. Additionally, I couldn’t save the horizontal and vertical frame counts; even if I set them correctly, they would revert to being incorrect after switching screens.
I tested it again, and I think it’s an engine bug! The animation suddenly jumps from frame 0 to frame 7, and both the vertical and horizontal frame counts are messed up. After setting them correctly, switching to another animation and then switching back causes the issue again. Please fix this as soon as possible!
It is definitely the AnimationPlayer node. After the update, all the character frame animations previously set within it are now scrambled.
I cannot seem to replicate this issue. None of my projects I’ve opened in 2.0 have had their AnimationPlayer frame animations change, so I’d like to see your project to understand why it happened to you.
Could you send your project folder in a zip to pgmmv-support@gotchagotcha.jp? Ideally the copy from before you updated, so we can open the same project in the previous version and in 2.0 and compare what changed. If you only have the 2.0 copy that still helps, just let us know which version it was made in.
Hello, I have sent the project for you to test.
I have looked into this.
The issue was caused by a feature designed to facilitate editing with the Sprite Animation function triggering unexpectedly.
This new feature automatically updates keys that are at the same value and located at the 0-second mark, as well as RESET animations, whenever there are changes such as the position of hit zones in a scene.
This was implemented to address a previous problem where animations would revert to their original positions after being moved, only to snap back when played.
However, the scope of this processing was too broad, causing it to apply even in Godot mode and the detailed editing view.
As a result, keys that previously matched would shift even if you only changed the frame in the scene preview.
We have just released a patch to fix this issue.
While this should prevent new problems from occurring, we apologize, but you will need to manually correct any data that has already shifted.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Thanks for the update, the issue is resolved!!
