Hey everyone!
As you may know, we recently launched a giveaway where we slashed prices by 100%
Last week we ran a limited drop/giveaway for our suite of Godot-style plugins for RPG Maker MZ & MV (including PolyTrigger2D / Area2D, Camera2D, and IntelliPatch) to test if the community was interested in bringing modern engine workflows into RPG Maker.
The response completely blew our expectations out of the water! Here is a breakdown of the raw stats from our
Itch.ioanalytics for anyone interested in plugin adoption metrics:The Numbers in 24h:
PolyTrigger2D (Area2D): 446 Views | 57 Downloads | 85 Browser Demo Plays | 7.69% CTR
Camera2D: 370 Views | 35 Downloads | 77 Browser Demo Plays | 2.76% CTR
IntelliPatch (Road Finder): 358 Views | 24 Downloads | 71 Browser Demo Plays | 1.78% CTR
Key Takeaways & Lessons:
Area2D was the absolute breakout star: With a 7.69% CTR and over 1,120 impressions, it’s super clear that RPG Maker devs desperately needed dedicated shape detection, interaction zones, and collision layers beyond simple grid tiles.
Interactive Web Demos are critical: Across all three plugins, we registered over 230 total browser plays. Letting developers test camera easing, pathfinding, and trigger zones directly in the browser before installing made a massive difference in conversions.
The Godot workflow translates surprisingly well to RMMZ: Bringing nodes/concepts like Area2D, camera anchors, and rigid bodies into RPG Maker opens up entirely new genres (stealth, action-puzzles, custom platformers).
Huge thanks to everyone who downloaded, tested, and gave feedback! We are already working on the next feature updates and polish based on what you guys reported.
If you have any technical questions about how we handled spatial partitioning, collision layers, or frame-decoupled camera smoothing in RMMZ, feel free to ask!
