Its also logical that forums would ban someone for stirring up conflict. Its important for keeping a community a welcoming place. Its the reason talking about politics is banned on most forums not specifically about politics. Some opinions should not be expressed in some places. As some topics is simply too divisive to allow, unless you want the community at uts own throat.
Its not really entirely black and white. Even legitimate criticism can be banworthy if expressed in a hostile fashion.
And as per usual, it got derailed by the same individuals who responded to me one minute after my post here and who also reported and flagged my post. It is pretty much the same tactics they used on rpgmakerweb to censor folks.

Why ask what’s going on if you only want to hear positive things about VisuStella? Did you actually want answers, or did you just want positive validation?
So maybe you want to ask a mod like @Baz who reopened this post or @ggg_kuroda if I’m targeting your posts just to try and censor you. Look, I get it. What happened in the past with the VS situation appears very bad. I didn’t know before and after I did some homework, my views on Yanfly have changed. However, considering that this was maybe within the past 5 years is no reason to bring it to the new forum. Have you even seen a post from the VS team on here? I think you need to catch up with the times.

This is pure paranoia. Absolutely charging at windmills with this, sorry, mate.
There is no grand conspiracy VS-DEFENSE-FORCE group. It’s just like, really disruptive and people get sick of seeing people frothing at the mouth and posting endless personal attacks against people ad infinitum for things which happened years ago (and that only people with a vendetta would care about).
People are allowed to disagree with you, and say so - and even argue their points. I thought that was the whole point of your thread about neutrality

@baba05 Fine. You can feel like that but if anything, I am now asking you to stop. I think you mentioned you were part of a discord. Couldn’t you keep the VS thing to that discord? Do we really need to infest the new forum with old VS stories, especially after the mods here told you that they would be fair?
@Iron_Brew please refrain from teasing. Ideally, we should encourage him to move on and not try to belittle him/her.

Its true. I probably shouldn’t have asked. Didn’t realise this might jeopardise the community on this forums when I made this thread.
Thing is, I need this community to grow to become a true replacement for the old forum. Kinda need it for development reasons. Don’t want to sacrifice the future of the RPG Maker community to satisfy my curiosity.
The first couple of people who commented are right. The old drama should be left in the past. I only asked as I was completely ignorant that there was an issue until a few days ago.
Maybe we should close this thread.

You’re right, apologies @baba05 - I was trying to make a point, but I shouldn’t have tried to be funny about it. I wasn’t trying to mock you, just to demonstrate the thing about which I was talking.
I know the post isn’t toward me but you have a right to be curious. I became curious when I first learned and Yanfly was someone I was grateful too, considering I joined the RPGM community late and only had what he left behind as a guide to my own project.
With that said, we should learn from the mistakes of the past and try to learn how to do better in the present. I have nothing against @baba05 except how he keeps the matter a trending topic when it should be history. Hoping that we can all move on from this and make sure the same thing doesn’t happen in future.
That wasn’t meant as a slam on VS or anything. Just weird behavior on a dying forum that we need to move past. None of it matters now, and in retrospect, maybe I should’ve not bothered posting that. But I like accurate information.
VS overall is fine. Long ago I had a vendetta of my own against them over obfuscation and other things that, upon looking back, were stupid. I went to their server and apologized and you know what? They were very nice and cool about it. Yanfly is plenty civil if you’re civil to him (funny how that works with pretty much any human!)
So yeah, it’s time to move on.
