Legend of the Infini
Full Length Classic Style RPG Combining DBZ, Urban Fantasy, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, and Much More
Originally released in 2017. Minor updates in 2026.
*Game contains religious themes
**This game was developed before Dragonball Super and also has some GT elements. Thus, everything that happens in Super needs to be ignored before going into this. At the start of the game, it is accepted that Super Saiyan 4 is the highest transformation.
***I highly recommend getting the application ‘Resize Enable’ so you can expand the game window size without having to go fullscreen
Synopsis
What if the powers of Dragonball Z existed on modern day Earth? What if heaven, hell, alternate dimensions, time travel, multiple inhabited solar systems, and hidden cultures right here on Earth also existed? Experience the epic life of Jace, a Saiyan who landed on modern day Earth in infancy and survived by himself on Antarctica, unaware of other Earthlings, his Saiyan heritage, and the fact that he was chosen by God to one day prevent Satan’s escape from hell.
This is a full 20+ hour game, even if you know where you’re going, in traditional turn-based side battle style, combining elements from all of my favorite things from childhood. It is a mostly original plot, but it contains characters and plot elements taken from a wide variety of sources. The game has 7 ‘Sagas’ or mini plot arcs with their own main bosses, all existing independently under an overarching main plot that gives the game a more epic, long term feel. Each saga completed will give the main character much more depth as he matures from young child, to love-sick teenager, to adult emperor of an intergalactic army and father of 3.
The combat system features a unique combination of super saiyan transformations, chi attacks, magic, swords, and sci-fi weapons versus enemies of demonic and sci-fi nature. Game world features navigable solar systems, time travel, heaven, hell, and just about every kind of environment you can imagine. At it’s core though, it is also an urban fantasy, for the game world centers on a semi-realistic modern day Earth (character is born in the 1980s, and the ‘Earth’ that Dragonball takes place on is a different planet from the Earth we all know IRL).

Battle Mechanics
TP (Tech Points)
TP is a pool of energy consumed by many attacks in battles. It is primarily used to fuel ‘Chi Attacks’ such as Kamehameha. TP is indicated by a green status bar, and has a maximum of 1000.
At the start of each battle, TP is reset to 100 for all characters who use TP. TP is spent when using special attacks, but it can be recharged in several ways:
- Landing regular ‘Attacks’ (generates 50 TP per attack landed)
- Landing ‘Dragon Fist’ (generates 50 TP if successful)
- Taking damage (a percentage of damage taken is converted into TP)
- Using ‘Charge Up’ (100% chance of gaining 100 TP at the cost of 1 turn)
Chi Attacks
Many playable characters can use Chi Attacks in battle. These are typically stronger than physical attacks, but consume TP to use.
Chi Attack damage is determined by the ‘Power’ stat. Furthermore, their damage output is heavily modified by Super Saiyan transformations.
Transformations
Saiyan characters will unlock Transformations as the game progresses. These transformations can only be done in battle, require TP to use, and will consume a turn while transforming. At the end of each battle, Transformations are reverted and you will return to your base form.
Though transformations only last until the end of the current battle, their benefits are profound:
- Greater damage output from Chi Attacks (in some cases, FAR greater damage)
- Higher Strength
- Higher DefenseHigher chance to dodge
- New sprite
While transformations can radically increase damage output, you lose a turn transforming. Therefore, only transform when you feel the increased damage output is worth the time spent transforming.
Magic
Certain Magic techniques are learned automatically as you level up. Others must be purchased from Spellshops, located in select cities throughout the game. Healing spells, in addition to certain healing items, have additional speed in battle. They will often be given top priority when determining who acts first in a battle’s turn.
Items
There is a hard limit to the amount of a particular item you are allowed to carry. This limit is different for different items, depending on how good the item is.
Special
Some characters will learn special techniques in battle that don’t belong under ‘Chi Attacks’ or ‘Magic’. These techniques can be found under the ‘Special’ menu, and typically consume TP to use in battle. Many Special techniques can be used outside of battle (covered in more detail under Overworld Mechanics).
