You are John Headband. You got trapped in a maze by the evil Red Blocking Aura, and now you must find a way to escape by traversing the… Bizarre Maze! Explore a maze of strange things and uncertainty. Solve the puzzles of the maze, face the challenges, and avoid getting killed, even though it might happen…a lot!

STORY:
Once upon a time, John Headband was just taking a walk out in the field, minding his own business. It was just another good old day for him. And then suddenly, John Headband found a cave that got him curious for some reason. John Headband walked into the cave, and walked down the stairs. John Headband walked into a maze and got trapped inside by an evil entity known as the Red Blocking Aura.

The Red Blocking Aura laughed at John Headband for walking into a random cave and get trapped inside. The aura tells John that he will never be able to escape. But little did the Red Blocking Aura realized, there are those inside the maze willing to help John escape. Why they are there, nobody knows why. John Headband himself is determined to escape the maze, even if he has to die for it. Now John Headband must face the challenge of… BIZARRE MAZE!

GAMEPLAY:
Bizarre Maze is a non-linear rage inducing overhead adventure puzzle game where you control a young man named John Headband. You explore a bizarre maze full of strange things, dangerous obstacles, traps out of nowhere, random NPCs you can talk to, and challenges awaiting for you. Puzzles include pushing objects, finding words, a code, touching things in certain order, and trading items. Challenges include a maze with ghosts, disarming bombs in a maze, keep enemies out of the red zone, controlling you and a mimic at the same time, and more. Do you have the courage and bravery to overcome the challenges and escape the Bizarre Maze?

Fun Fact: John Headband was originally for a project that I have done barely any work on. When making this game, I was originally going to have one of the stock characters be the main, but then later decided to use John Headband for this project, and make him the main instead.

Nice- I Have recycled a few characters myself. I am currently reworking a RPG MZ game onto AGM

What’s new?

  • Some dialogues have been changed/updated.
  • One scene in the Story Intro has changed. Instead of the Crystals being in the maze for seemingly no reason, actual lore has been given to why they are there.
  • Comet Idol has been renamed to Komet Idol.
    • Komet Idol will no longer introduce herself again after speaking to her the first time.
    • You now have the option to give Komet Idol her axe back. This has no effect on game progress. You can borrow it again too.
    • Not returning the axe to Komet Idol after beating the game slightly extends the post-credits scene.
  • Fake crystals will now darken after interacting with them (and remain darken on normal mode).
  • Exit options have been added to the Title and Game End Screens.
  • Credits slightly updated (Author for new plugin addition)

What’s new?

  • Fixed a bug in the Rainbow Crystal Challenge where getting killed by the ghost on Hard Mode would not stop the timer.
  • Some dialogues have been updated slightly.
  • Graphical details have been added to some areas of the maze.
  • A certain tree in the maze will now kill the player if they are close to it.
  • Three new NPCs added: Hungry King, Evil Jester, and Broken Messenger.
