[RPG Maker Guild] Game Just Uploaded — Not Showing Up in Search?

Hey everyone!

I just uploaded my first game to the Guild, but when I search for it, it doesn’t appear. Is this normal? Or did I do something wrong?

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

Uploaded the game files
Filled in title, genre, and description
Added screenshots and logo
Set it to “Public” (not hidden/draft)

But when I type the title in the search bar… nothing shows up.

My Questions:

1. Is there a delay before new games get indexed in search?
   Like, do I need to wait a few hours/days?
2. Does the game need to be approved by mods first?
   Or is it instantly public but just slow to appear?
3. Are there any tags or keywords I should add to make it more searchable?
4. Could it be because my title is too common?
   Should I rename it to something more unique?
5. Is there a “bump” or refresh button to push it into the recent list?

· Searching with the exact title (copy-paste)
· Searching with just one word from the title
· Checking the “Latest” tab — still not there
· Logging out and searching as guest

If you’ve been through this before, please share your experience. I’m kinda worried I messed up the upload process somehow.

The link was not to Guild, but to an itch.io 404 page.

Guild and itch.io are separate services.

When posting on itch.io:
If you are using your browser’s auto-translate feature, it is better to turn it off.

When translating into your native language, some checkboxes required for registration may become unselectable, preventing you from posting.
(In my case, I couldn’t register at all with Japanese translation enabled.)

If you are not using auto-translate, I cannot say for sure.
You might find it easier to get information if you clarify that this is a question about “how to register on itch.io” rather than Guild.

I think it would be good to mention this in the title as well.

This is what I get from your itch.io page. I’d assume you didn’t actually publish it. Check it again.

Look for this bit in the game details page.

Also while in your game’s page, check if at the top it says this. It has to say “PUBLISHED” at the top.

If those things are already correct then I’d recommend to get in contact with the Itch staff in their forums.
