Hi, Major Minty/LunarFlareStudios from the old forums. I’m making a game with a unique skin system and would like to request or commission someone to make a plugin for said system. Right now, I’m working on the animation of how it will work (animation/art is my forte, not scripting) and I honestly don’t know which forum to put the full request in when it’s ready to showcase.
Could someone please point me to the best forum category to post it in? I am honestly new to this forum and how it works, so I would love some guidance. Thanks in advance!

Several things. One, creating a plugin is programming work and depending on how complex the project, may require specialized knowledge. Two, you’re essentially asking for volunteer work on top of the work requiring special expertise. Small ideas or ideas that can be done with freely available plugins, you can easily find a nice person swing by a forum post and give you help for free. However if you really mean that you’re doing a “unique” skin system and that no publically-available plugin can do what you want, you’re going to hit a dead end fast.

I had a feeling I’d be paying… and I’m okay with it. I knew that plugins were often complex, especially for what I’m going for, so I was not expecting to get anything for free. I’ll see if Nat can help me, and considering how my idea is a little complex, I’ll do my part and scrape up the money to pay him.
I’ve payed for resources before on the old forum. I am willing to pay for what I need, after all. Nothing really is free in this world.
