“Wizard of Oz: beyond the yellow brick road”-like combat system?

Title is self explanatory, I found the game and really like the combat system. Is there someway I can recreate it into my game?

Or is there anyone that I can commission to make a plugin for it in case?

Oh right I should mention, it’s for RPGMMV

Seems like the big thing in that game is the four slots per turn. Dorothy and Scarecrow cost one, Lion costs two, Tin Man costs three, and anyone who sits the round out can’t be hit. I don’t know of an MV plugin that does that slot pool out of the box, so I think that piece would need a custom plugin.

The part where each character hits certain enemy types harder you can get close to without plugins. Give each actor an Attack Element trait and give each enemy type an Element Rate trait for the element that should hurt it most.

Is it the slot system you’re mainly after, or other parts too? Knowing that would help anyone who picks up the commission scope it out.

Specifically the “Ratio” system.

The party slots, each character taking up a certain “score” and if not used they are not targeted.

Was looking for something like that and that I could also fiddle with to make it more “dynamic”

The “not targeted” half you could maybe fake without a plugin. Make a state like Resting with a Target Rate trait at 0% and have it wear off at turn end. Enemies pick their single targets randomly weighted by Target Rate, so an actor at 0% shouldn’t get picked. Skills that hit all allies ignore that though, so those would still land on them.

To bench someone for the turn, you could give each actor a Sit Out skill that adds that state, with its Speed set high so it goes before the enemies act. Enemies choose their targets when their action starts, so as long as Sit Out goes first they should skip that actor.

The slot cost is the part I think needs a real plugin, since the default battle has everyone pick a command every turn and there’s no shared pool to spend from. If you commission it, maybe ask for each actor’s cost as a notetag and the pool size as a variable, so you can fiddle with the numbers later.
