I noticed some issues with the 2.0 update. I’m not sure if the first two are bugs or are by design but the last one seems to be unless I’m doing something wrong
With a VS you can’t change an action to anything other than the main layer. Change action will give you the option to select another layer, but nothing happens.
Also, with VS layers I noticed that you can’t have signals on more than one layer, or they will erase each other. For example, the signal on the first layer will no longer be connected to a script only on the other layer.
For the AGM version of the label and rich text, I noticed that there is an issue with adding a variable. If you click on insert a value and then select database, you cannot change the record or column. You can change the database entry, but that’s about it. The work around that I found is to just edit the code that gets inserted into the text.
Hi Baz! Thank you for your reply. I tested both the issues with the VS again and was able to get the change action to another layer to work. I have no idea what I was doing wrong the first time.
For the emit signal issue I might not have explained that well. I took screenshots to show.
Here I have a signal on my main layer and second layer. Everything looks good. They are linked to a GDscript.
When I switch to either layer in the VS and hit save the link erases. So for example if I’m on the main layer and save, the signal on the second layer is gone.
