hi! im making a game jam game so i dont have much time. if anybody could point me to the direction of a plugin that does timed combat, that would be wonderful!
When you say timed combat, do you mean battles where everyone’s gauge fills up over time and they act when it’s full (ATB, like the older Final Fantasy games)? Or pressing a button at the right moment during an attack, like Super Mario RPG?
If it’s ATB, Yanfly’s Battle System ATB is free to use as long as you credit Yanfly. It needs Battle Engine Core placed above it in the Plugin Manager, and you can get both from yanfly.moe. Yanfly isn’t supporting the ATB plugin anymore, so it might not play nice with every other plugin. For a jam game I don’t think that would get in your way though.
For timed button presses, the ones I’ve come across are paid, like Synrec’s Timed Attack and Next Level Gaming’s Timing Battle plugin on itchio.
