Aloft is an RPG Maker MZ plugin for sky maps. Put <aloft> in a map’s note and leave the sky cells empty, or paint them with region 1. Every connected patch of ground becomes its own floating island, and the empty map becomes open air over a sea of clouds drifting far below.

The rock under each island is cut from the bottom rows of your own edge tiles, mirrored, shaded and tinted toward their colours, so a grass island and a sand island get different rock and it matches whatever tileset you use.
There are five dressings: Spirit Garden, Sky Ruins, Crystal Spire, Steam Isle and Storm Reach. Each has its own underside, its own things hanging from it (roots and a waterfall, chains and broken arches, pulsing crystals, pipes and a turning propeller, lightning rods) and its own sky. Islands cast soft shadows on the clouds, and petals, dust or rain ride the wind.
The sky follows MZ’s own screen tone, so a Night tint gives a dark sky with stars and a Sunset tint warms the horizon. A Fall Off the Edge command drops the player or an event through the clouds and can transfer to a map you name. Sky cells cannot be walked on.
Nothing in your map file changes and no image files ship: all 49 kinds of art are drawn in code when the map loads. It extends MZ methods and replaces none, and a map without <aloft> is never touched. Install is three files in js/plugins.
The code and the graphics it draws were made with AI tools and tested in the engine. It costs $9.99, and $6.99 in the itch Halloween sale until 4 November 18:00 UTC.
