I recently got a new pc, but i did not transfer any files over from my old pc so I lost a plugin I used for dialogue. I don’t remember what the plugin was called but I remember that it had a lot of functionality (it might have been multiple plugins in one). I remember it had a typewriter effect, a sound effect for dialog, the ability to change the font size, portrait sprites, the ability to show the npc name over the text box, and it allowed for variables to be shown in the box. that’s all i remember it having but I’m almost certain there was more. I would greatly appreciate help in finding it before the rpg maker forums shut down for good. thank you.
Just in case, since this might help you finding it, if you’re talking about RPG Maker XP there was no plugins there, instead it was scripts. It’s pedantic I know but again it might help with the searches.
About the features, a bit hard to say since all the features you list seem to be a bit common. Most decent RMXP message systems add most of those things. I think the rarest by far is font size support, especially if it has to happen mid-line.
Here’s one that afaik covers those features: Dubealex's Advanced Message System R4
This one should do it too [XP] Multiple Message Windows Ex
Derula’s Hermes too Hermes - Hermes Extends RPGXP's MEssage System (the download seems to be down but found it archived here). This one I have to warn you, it’s slightly more complicated to install than your average RM script. At least by following the author’s original instructions.
Good luck!
I believe it was Dubealex’s Advanced Message System! I’m also going to check out the other scripts you linked because they also look good. Thank you for helping me find it!
