Is there no "Face the Player"?

I am developing a top-down game and am struggling to implement a simple action where an NPC turns to face the player when spoken to.

I can’t believe there isn’t an action like “face the object,” yet I can’t find one anywhere… Since it’s a top-down game, I thought I’d have to calculate it using vectors and branch accordingly, but there’s no action within VS that allows for even simple calculations like the “Script” feature in RPG Maker, and I’m at a loss.

Did I overlook an action that simply changes direction? If it truly doesn’t exist, how are you all implementing it? If you could please let me know, I would appreciate it.

I remember how I did such things in PGM with Move Object and movement speed at 0%, however it doesn’t seem to work with AGMaker. I have filed a report to see if we can correct this or add a new action to quickly face a specified object.

I see… it seems difficult to implement simply in the current state…

Thank you for your reply. I will patiently wait for the fix or implementation.

Could this be achieved using this method?

I’m slightly concerned that the speed isn’t zero, but I managed to implement the desired expression! Thank you.
