[MZ] Number of digits for entering balance (answered)

RPG Maker MZ 1.10.0

The maximum number of digits supported in-game does not match the number of digits usable in event commands.
This affects “Change Gold” and “Conditional Branch.”

Also, I’d like at least a warning when full-width characters are used in file names.
It works fine during test play, but causes errors when uploaded to the web.
This isn’t beginner-friendly.
Beginners don’t understand the difference in how file names, variable/switch names, and message strings are handled.
Users migrating from RPG Maker 2000 might also use Japanese without any sense of incongruity (since the RTP files are named in Japanese, they can’t possibly understand why this is discouraged).
I’ve seen many such users.

I also think it’s a bug beyond just programming that template files for icon images and speech bubble borders aren’t provided in the blank space, as this hinders user-created content.

Thank you for your detailed report.

We will consider the following points from the operations team’s perspective:

【1. Discrepancy in the number of digits for your balance】
We have confirmed the issue as a specification inconsistency and will share it with the development team.

【2. Warning about full-width file names】
Regarding the issue where full-width file names cause errors during web publishing despite working fine in test play, as well as your observation that this is a common stumbling block for beginners, we agree with your assessment. We will share with the development team an improvement proposal to display warnings in the editor or during export, taking into account the differing handling of file names, variable/switch names, and message strings, as well as the tendency to use Japanese names due to legacy habits from Tool Maker 2000 and the RTP.

Thank you for your specific feedback based on your extensive experience working with many beginners. We will use this as a reference for future improvements.
