About "Windowset Builder"

I have released “Windowset Builder,” a tool for RPG Maker MZ.
Windowset Builder is an all-in-one tool for managing window skins and UI adjustments.

We plan to improve and expand features through updates, so please feel free to share any feature requests or areas where you think improvements could be made.

So I bought this tool and it looks great. My only issue is that my game uses 6 battlers and I this tool only seems to allow 4. Is there a way to change it to 6?

Related to this, it would be great if this can support creating a battle UI that’s laid out more like how MV was, where the party members are stacked vertically in a list instead of being shown horizontally side-by-side.

Note: I’m saying this before actually trying the tool, so maybe it can already do that.

Thank you for your feedback.

We will consider addressing your requests in a future update:
• Support for layouts with five or more characters
• Display party members in a vertical list, with menu commands displayed horizontally

We have released v1.0.2 of Windowset Builder.

We will continue to improve and enhance features.

v1.0.2 (2026-07-22)

  • Added support for horizontal display of commands in the main menu

  • Adjusted compatibility with VisuStella MZ (when BattleCore / MainMenuCore / PartySystem are detected, automatically disables overwriting of conflicting battle HUDs and menu layouts, prioritizing VisuStella’s display)

  • Fixed an issue where the frame might not render while loading window skins

  • Unified the height of command lines in the preview with the actual game

  • Fixed an issue where menus could not be opened for several seconds after closing them in projects with a large number of windows

  • Optimized processing for window decorations (corners/frames) and skin application to lighten scene transitions

  • Added support for applying window skins and positioning to windows created in SceneCustomMenu (import from custom tabs)

  • Fixed an issue where option text in the “Show Choices” event command would overflow and be cut off from the window

  • Added “Auto-adjust width” to window settings

  • Fixed an issue where the frame or corner decorations of background windows were drawn on top of foreground windows in scenes with overlapping windows

  • Fixed an issue where background scrolling did not move when using MADO-originated skins in custom scene windows

    v1.0.1 (2026-07-17)

  • Added “Restore state before export” to the purpose-based guide (provides steps with the actual project name)

  • Added a “Open Backup Folder” button to settings

  • The application now launches in the OS language on first startup

  • Added “Variable Bar” to element windows (supports fixed value/variable maximums, label/number display, and 11 gauge shapes)

  • Added support for specifying variable bars, free text, and picture images per actor

  • Added options to hide the battle log and maintain battle status during enemy selection

  • Added “Show Actor Damage Popups” to battle log settings (displays above the status window in front view)

  • Fixed an issue where dragging an element would move the entire window, and an issue where element windows would become empty due to incorrect scripts

  • Fixed an issue where status element window rows would shrink and break when the party had 5 or more members (pages turn for the 5th member onwards)

  • Fixed an issue where the back operation did not work in windows configured with the “Close Scene” action on cancel

I purchased RPG Maker MZ from the old Tsukuru Store and am currently using it.

I understand that it is now sold exclusively on Steam, but are there any plans to offer a downloadable version?

I apologize for the inconvenience, given how busy you must be, but I would appreciate it if you could look into this when you have a moment.
