Not very motivated, but I started making an RPG

I know it might come across as disrespectful to those who are seriously working on this, but I just felt like making something and started. I’ve made them before, but all of MZ’s creations have ended up being eternal. I’ve made a few in MV, though. Anyway, this is my first post here, so please treat me kindly.

I consider myself someone who takes this seriously, and I often tell people to treat RPG Maker like a toy, and to just play with it. If you’re having fun developing, then the player will have fun playing. :video_game:
And when you get tired, just polish what you’ve made, slap the label of “Episode 1” or “Demo” to the title of your project and release whatever you’ve made.

“Toys”! That’s great. We’ll go with that stance. Thank you for the advice.

I use RPG Maker since the 2000, when it got to the “global” internet (and when internet was still difficult to get).

I’ve made at least 70 games using all versions of RPG Maker, some smaller, some bigger, and some with more than 40 hours of gameplay, some raw, with no extra stuff, and some with some many plugins/scripts that the games got laggy on less powerful machines.

I only released one (in portuguese), crônicas de evenall, and the others I was too shy to share, or even lost them when formatting my computer (no cloud saving back in the day).

Now I’m returning to RPG Maker after some time not doing a project, and my main goal is to make people’s life easier with plugins, but I’m doing my game as well.

So, just keep going, do it at your own pace. Maybe you are making a game only for yourself, like I did with one - the game made me realize who I am and what I like and don’t like.

And enjoy the trip.

Do you think about demaking any games as I have come up with that idea. Demaking Popular RPGS

Thank you.

You don’t have to be great to start. But you have to start to be great. Enjoy the journey, funhaver

Thank you. I look forward to it.
