I was wondering about possibly getting ideas about demaking modern RPGs. I have an Android handheld that can run older games but not newer. I was wondering if I can get help with making my idea reality and what I can do.
So what kind of game do you want to create? There are many types of RPGs (Role-Playing Games):
Action RPG: Elden Ring, Expedition 33
Turn-based: Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Pokemon
Strategy RPG: Fire Emblem
Story-rich: To the Moon, One Shot
Horror : Ib, Omori
Dungeon Crawler: Class of Heroes, Etrian Odyssey
Actually, there are many more, but these are just a few examples.
I have Fire Emblem covered on a FE Universe thread and want to use SRPG Studio with that. Seeing AAA games like Elden Ring and Expedition 33 is intriguing and definitely worth exploring but I want more “weeb” games from the PS4/Switch or later. I am currently interested in RPGs on older PlayStation systems as they can run well on my device.
