I purchased RPG Maker MZ and the Tileset Builder from the official RPG Maker store. I received the product key notification, but I have no idea how to download the actual application. I can’t find any download icons or links to relevant pages. If anyone knows how to download it, please let me know!
Welcome to the forums @pippipi!
The RPG Maker Official Store sells RPG Maker MZ and Tileset Builder as Steam keys, so there’s no separate download from the store itself. The app gets installed through Steam once the key is activated.
If you haven’t already, install Steam and log in (or make an account). Then go to Games → Activate a Product on Steam… and enter your RPG Maker MZ key first. Tileset Builder is a DLC for MZ, so activate its key after that, on the same Steam account. MZ will then show up in your Steam Library ready to install, with Tileset Builder attached to it.
If you need to see your keys again, click the account icon at the top right of the store → Library → My Orders, pick the product and click View. The store only displays keys for 180 days after purchase, so I’d save them somewhere safe.
Thank you.
I was able to install RPG Maker MZ, but I cannot install the Tileset Builder.
When I check Steam, it says, "Already in your Steam library." However, I can’t find any download or install icons.
That’s normal for DLC on Steam. It doesn’t get its own Install button. It downloads together with RPG Maker MZ and goes into MZ’s install folder.
To find it, right click RPG Maker MZ in your Steam Library → Manage → Browse local files. That opens MZ’s folder, and inside the DLC folder there should be a Tileset Builder folder. I believe the app is launched from in there.
If there’s no Tileset Builder folder, right click RPG Maker MZ → Properties → DLC and check that Tileset Builder is ticked, then let Steam finish downloading.
I just checked, and it was in the folder. I was able to launch it.
Thank you very much. It was a great help.
