Please switch the top tab to “Object” (which is referred to here as the View).
Then, open the object where the issue is occurring.
Generally, it should display exactly as shown in the “Preview” tab. If nothing is displayed here, it likely means the object has been configured to be invisible.
Regarding the points you raised, I believe they are fundamentally consistent with the parts you provided.
The differences are as follows: In my case, I have not set up collision detection other than for Sprite2D → Area2D GameObject, and the “Image-related” section only contains an item for object images. In the Collision tab → Animated Sprite2D → Animation section, after saving the project and closing it, the settings are lost when reopened (selecting the other of the two animations and then returning restores the settings). Additionally, the initial state’s animation has only one frame.
I tried it, but it does not appear on the map view.
At first glance, there doesn’t seem to be anything unnatural about it. Given this state, I feel it should normally be displayed…
I would like to investigate this in a bit more detail, so would you mind sending the project to the following support address? Thank you for your trouble and cooperation.
I’d like to share the part I believe was causing the issue.
It seems the problem was that an animation called face_anim, which does not exist in RESET (the animation?), was still linked.
I think I may have set face_anim as the animation for the Area2DGameObject while experimenting with various settings, then deleted it and reconfigured the current animations, “base” and “mepati.” However, since some time has passed, my memory is a bit fuzzy.
To resolve the issue, I opened chara_face.tscn in a text editor and replaced the face_anim references with base. After doing so, the sprites began displaying correctly in the map view.
Should I avoid actions like removing an animation that was previously attached and then reattaching a new one, as I did?
Also,
Although I forcibly edited the .tscn file this time, was there a way to fix it directly from within the Tsukuru G interface?
If you look at the animation set for the screenshot pic_003 I posted, it shows face_anim-base(1).
I believe this was created by changing the default new_anim to face_anim. Initially, it was set as face_anim-face_anim(1), but I think it was later changed to face_anim-base(1).
The .tscn file records the face_anim part of face_anim(1) and appears to use it as the reference name for RESET. Since this was changed to base, the consistency was lost, which I believe is why the sprite no longer displays in the map view.
Since renaming items is now possible, the .tscn file should ideally be updated accordingly when a rename occurs. Could it be that this part isn’t working correctly?
(Note: The project I sent is in a different state than pic_003.)
Usually, changes are automatically applied when rewritten, so no issues should occur. However, there might be some loophole involved. Could you please provide more details about the steps you took to make the changes?
