RPG MZ Plugin: Proximity Sound System - This plugin plays BGS with proximity sound effect

✦ Proximity Sound System ✦

A spatial audio system that makes your world feel alive.

Sounds grow louder as you approach, and fade naturally as you walk away — creating a real sense of space and presence.

✦ Perfect for:

  • Atmospheric visual novels

  • Environmental storytelling

No complex setup.

Proximity-based audio can make RPG environments feel much more immersive, especially when sound changes naturally as the player moves closer to or farther from an event. If the BGS is too quiet or uneven on the device itself, though, the effect may lose some impact. For gaming on phones, checking for a low phone speaker volume is also useful before troubleshooting the plugin. A quick speaker-cleaning step can sometimes improve muffled audio caused by dust or moisture in the speaker grille, making proximity effects easier to hear clearly.
