I tried converting my 2,000 “masterpieces” titled “The Princess’s Brother” using the “RPG Tsukuru 200x/MZ Converter.”
The conversion itself is as easy as one button click, but preparing FFmpeg and sound font files was a bit tricky.
It seems there are features to convert files individually in addition to full conversion, but since it won’t work without FFmpeg, it would be nice if it could run without FFmpeg for non-audio conversions.
I uploaded the converted version (with no other modifications) to Plicy-san.
I haven’t finished checking the operation yet.

2000 version (on Freem)
Walking around the map looks good.
However, the BGM is a bit glitchy.
As for the menu screen… the mouse interface overlaps a bit.
Since face graphics don’t seem to be made transparent, you’ll likely need to edit the images yourself if you want transparency.
It seems many commands are executed via plugin commands.
Other known issues.
・In the 2000 version, because dialogue can be inserted into shops, there are three patterns: A, B, and C. If you don’t enter them in the plugin parameters, the buy/sell commands won’t be displayed.
(They aren’t displayed, but the functions still work)
Update: When I opened the project in the 2000 version, the terms for A and B were not reflected in the database.
Although they weren’t reflected, the settings seemed to be applied, and when playing, the specified messages appeared correctly.
It seems to be an issue with the 2000 side… what is this?
It’s actually scary that only C is reflected (C is unedited, meaning it might be the default) lol.
By the way, this is the old Tsukuru Store version of 2000.
I did purchase the Steam version, but since it’s only in English, I put it away. I want a Japanese version.
・In the Japanese version, the file names are in Japanese. (The converter is not at fault)
(It seems Plicy-san can play it because it supports uploading 2000 projects, but)
・The glitchy MIDI sound is likely due to the PC environment, but
I had quite a bit of trouble trying to use the feature to convert MIDI to OGG.
The sound quality improved, but smooth looping is not to be expected.
It’s a tough choice which is better.
By the way, my struggle log with OGG conversion is here:
・Since the audio converts all RTP files,
I think it’s essential to delete unused files during deployment.
(Update: It seems there is an option in the settings to not use RTP, so using that might be good)
When running, some files seem to disappear.
So far, the ones I’ve confirmed are:
