Directional input: Jump mechanics for 'movement key input direction' vs. 'movement direction'

Dear Team,

Regarding the patch notes for version 1.2.11, I would like to report an issue with the display direction behavior.

After applying version 1.2.11, I noticed some questionable behavior in the jump action compared to before the update. I would appreciate it if you could look into this.

I have attached the test project used for verification. Pressing the Z key will trigger a jump.

Display Direction: Direction of movement key input

  • If you press a key in the opposite direction while jumping upwards or falling, the jump animation or falling animation will restart from the beginning.
→ Pressing the opposite direction key again will not cause the animation to restart.

Display Direction: Movement direction

  • Jumping while moving causes the jump animation to briefly restart at the peak of the jump.
  • This phenomenon does not occur when jumping from a stationary position.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

I was able to confirm both bugs you mentioned.

With Movement Key Input Direction: pressing the opposite direction key during a jump or fall causes the animation to restart from the beginning.

With Movement Direction: jumping while moving causes the jump animation to briefly reset near the apex. Jumping from a standstill doesn’t trigger it.

Thank you, I’m getting these reported now!
