I appreciate the sentiment. I’m sorry you had those experiences with Project1. I don’t have ways to say if what you tell is true or false. But yeah, whoever the bad actor was, losing accounts sucks. Not so much for the account itself, as you mention a name isn’t worth much. But the things paid with your hard earned money surely hurt much more.

Best wishes dude.

Yeah, and that’s totally fair.

We came here to make games and talk about game development and design!

First, you seem to be confused.

The “official forums” that people here talk about being shut down are RPG Maker Web.

Not P1, the Chinese semi-official forum with GGG employees.

P1 is not going to shut down. Its bloodline can be traced back to the ancient 66RPG. It survived various disasters over the decades. It’s currently closely cooperating with GGG officials. Its server is in Hong Kong outside mainland China’s jurisdiction, to avoid certain… inconvenience.

Even in some unlikely doomsday events, some of the ancient 66RPG power figures will likely just step in to save the day even though we usually just let the younger generation to do their things nowadays. Worst case, we may change the admin, but the forum will survive. There are just too many memories to keep.

Second,

If you are talking about the shutting down of RPG Maker Web, then guilty as charged. Many Chinese developers complained to GGG about various problems with the RPG Maker Web.

Some bonus:

Actually, P1 is currently recruiting for GGG to expand its Chinese staff and influencer network and increase the visibility of RPG Maker in China.

None, none, none, none, none, none, none, none

I agree with the OP. The admin of project1 clearly has skills that seem almost supernatural, yet they only use their technical prowess to steal the OP’s Steam account. This shows they are narrow-minded and short-sighted. However, you’d better be careful—they might directly manipulate your bank account balance, which would lead to even greater losses.

I am locking this thread. Project1 may be brought up in other threads, but the nature of this thread is not acceptable, as it is too close to being a violation of section 5 of the terms (accusation/threat against an individual).

Additionally, I would like to provide the following information:

GGG does not have any input or control over how Project1 is operated nor moderated. It is a good resource for the Chinese market, but it is not something that GGG has any influence over. Just like how we wouldn’t control a site like X when we make a post on X.

In the future, please discuss Project1 with care. I understand the desire to warn others of potentially risky behavior, but section 5 of the Terms is very strict and is done in accordance with Japanese domestic law. No accusatory language is allowed at all.
